Okay. I'm not usually into posting scenic pictures - I enjoy verbal interaction with my subjects! - but I couldn't NOT post this shot, taken last week during a weird, late afternoon rainstorm. It was a summer preview, really... lavender sky, super-calm water, and this gorgeous yellow light...

Meet Elise, the bride-to-be. I first met her a couple years ago when I was shooting her for a local Credit Union campaign. I can only describe her personality as... effervescent. Absolutely bubbly (and infectious). When she came to me for her invites, I was so excited! Finally! Someone who is as obsessed with paperie as I am. Heck, she trumps me on that!

Her palette was fresh and fun (just like her!) - strawberry, chartreuse, turquoise and pale pink. And I spun her love of Love and polka dots into this double set of invitations because her wedding is halfway across the country, and a second reception will follow here on the Sunshine Coast at the end of the summer!

If you haven't already - you should pick up tickets to attend Brooks' Cat Scan Benefit. This evening is to raise money for the local charity, and features the student talent from the local high school. The live and silent auctions feature some amazing items up for bid, and the food is set to be nothing short of fabulous!

I'm so excited to host my soon-to-be sister-in-law's shower in a couple weeks! Brandon will tell you... I'm nuts over paper. Crazy, in fact. The shower invitation, designed to match Andrea's gorgeous wedding invites are just the jumping off point for her shower... I'll be sure to post all the paper-yumminess when it's all put together!



I couldn't resist shooting the invites in the cherry blossoms outside. Is Spring here, finally?
